We are a pivately owned physically therapy business and provide very individualized care for our patients. This vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Your expertise in medical office operations, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and health insurance procedures will ensure smooth clinic workflows and a positive patient experience. If you thrive in a peacefull and sometimes busy environment and possess strong communication skills, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out processes using EMR/EHR systems Schedule patient appointments accurately, coordinate follow-up visits, and manage clinic calendars Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail Review and update medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Prepare and review documentation including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and care plans for billing and record accuracy Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately Maintain organized filing of medical records, perform data entry with high typing accuracy (10 key typing), and manage electronic health records efficiently Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical and administrative skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; experience with electronic health records management is preferred Knowledge of medical billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, Medicare guidelines, and health insurance processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and medical administrative support software Ability to review clinical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or healthcare front desk experience is highly desirable Attention to detail in documentation review, filing, and data entry tasks along with good organizational skills Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism Join our team where your dedication helps improve patient care experiences every day! Pay:
