Job Description

This is a hybrid front-office and clinical-support position. The employee will primarily manage reception and patient-coordination responsibilities but must also be comfortable cross-training to assist with clinical workflow as needed. Clinical-support duties may include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, serving as a chaperone, preparing and turning over examination rooms, stocking clinical supplies, and assisting the clinical team within the employee's training and permitted scope. Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm, professional welcome to patients in person and by telephone.
  • Schedule and coordinate medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology appointments.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out workflows.
  • Verify and update demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect copays, patient balances, and other payments as appropriate.
  • Coordinate referrals, records requests, and incoming documentation.
  • Respond to routine patient scheduling and administrative portal messages.
  • Assist patients with practice information, cosmetic inquiries, and membership-related questions.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling and help optimize physician clinic flow.
  • Coordinate with the clinical team regarding patient needs, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
  • Assist with insurance eligibility and authorization workflows as needed.
  • Maintain a polished, organized reception and patient-facing environment.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and practice policies.
  • Help establish efficient front-office workflows and patient-service standards for a new practice. Qualifications
  • Prior medical office, patient service, or healthcare administrative experience strongly preferred.
  • Dermatology or specialty medical practice experience strongly preferred.
  • ModMed/EMA experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent telephone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with electronic medical records, scheduling systems, and technology.
  • Highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional, polished, calm, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the physician and clinical team.
  • Commitment to providing a highly personalized and exceptional patient experience. Schedule Approximately 30 hours per week, generally 4-5 weekdays. There are no regularly scheduled evenings or weekends. The schedule is designed to provide consistency and work-life balance while supporting an efficient outpatient dermatology practice. Compensation & Benefits
  • $19-$22 per hour, depending on dermatology, front-office, and ModMed/EMA experience. -Health insurance

Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
