Medical Scribe We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Medical Scribe to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare providers to document patient encounters in real time, ensuring accurate and timely medical records. This role is essential to improving workflow efficiency, enhancing patient care, and supporting clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans during live clinical visits Transcribe verbal notes and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision Review and edit medical documents for completeness and consistency Assist with coding and billing documentation under provider guidance Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to streamline documentation processes Track and manage patient follow-ups, referrals, and test results as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field preferred) Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting is a plus Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy Proficiency in EHR systems and typing (minimum 60 WPM recommended) Excellent listening, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to work in fast-paced environments with accuracy and discretion Commitment to patient privacy and professional ethics
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding Bilingual fluency (e.g., Spanish-English) is a strong asset Experience with remote scribing platforms or telehealth workflows
