Medical Scribe - Pre-Med / Gap Year Opportunity Arizona Hearing & Balance Center | Chandler, AZ Full-Time | Monday-Friday Planning on Medical School? Spend Your Gap Year Learning Alongside Physicians. Arizona Hearing & Balance Center is seeking a bright, motivated, highly detail-oriented Medical Scribe to work directly alongside our physicians in a busy specialty medical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a pre-med student, recent college graduate, or someone taking a gap year before medical school who wants meaningful exposure to the practice of medicine. You will have the opportunity to see firsthand how physicians evaluate patients, develop diagnoses, make treatment decisions, perform procedures, and manage complex medical conditions. This is not a Medical Assistant position . Your primary responsibility will be supporting the physician through accurate, timely medical documentation and helping keep the physician's clinic running efficiently. What You'll Do Accompany physicians during patient encounters Accurately document patient visits in the electronic medical record Capture patient histories, examinations, assessments, treatment plans, and physician-directed documentation Prepare electronic charts for upcoming patient visits Review available medical records and information Help ensure documentation is complete and accurate Enter physician-directed information into the EMR Assist physicians in maintaining an efficient clinic workflow Help manage documentation and physician follow-up needs Learn medical terminology and specialty-specific documentation Communicate professionally with physicians and other members of the healthcare team Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Strong Computer & Typing Skills Are Essential This position requires you to listen, process information, and document accurately while keeping pace with the physician. Strong computer skills and excellent typing ability are required.

Typing quickly and accurately Navigating multiple computer screens Learning new technology quickly Working extensively within an electronic medical record Listening and documenting simultaneously Processing detailed information quickly Learning medical terminology Maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is highly preferred . Previous experience with another electronic medical record is also valuable.
