In this role, you will assist physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records. Your expertise in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and clinical documentation will directly contribute to streamlined workflows and improved patient outcomes. Responsibilities Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, including history, physical findings, and physician observations Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by entering accurate and complete medical documentation promptly Ensure compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy Assist healthcare providers with medical office tasks such as updating patient histories, recording vital signs, and managing medical records Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency procedures to accurately capture clinical information Support physicians in achieving efficient workflow by preparing documentation ahead of consultations and updating records post-visit Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and ensure all documentation adheres to legal and organizational standards for privacy and security Qualifications Proven experience with transcription, medical documentation, or medical office administration preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR management tools is essential Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed to facilitate real-time documentation during patient encounters Ability to maintain strict HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality at all times Prior experience in a healthcare setting such as a clinic or emergency room enhances your suitability for this role Exceptional writing skills combined with attention to detail to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive medical records Embark on a rewarding career path where your skills make a tangible difference in patient care.
