Medical Assistant/ Scribe (Full-Time) - Orthopaedic Clinic Join a fast-paced orthopaedic practice where no two days are the same! We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant/Scribe to support an orthopaedic provider across our Corona and Murrieta locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume clinical environment, enjoys both patient care and administrative responsibilities, and is eager to grow within orthopaedics. Position Overview This role is a unique blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities . You will be assigned to a provider who sees patients in clinic approximately 2 days per week , with the remaining administrative days dedicated to patient coordination and follow-up care . What You'll Do Clinical Responsibilities (Clinic Days) Room patients and assist provider during clinic Support a high-volume clinic ( 50-55 patients per day ) with assistance from a float MA Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and patient charts Document patient information and assist with clinical workflows Ensure all voicemails and patient follow-ups are completed by end of day Administrative Responsibilities (Non-Clinic Days) Obtain and track surgical clearances Submit referrals and authorizations Return patient calls and respond to messages Coordinate care between patients, providers, and insurance companies Maintain accurate and timely charting
Additional Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures with hospitals, surgery centers, and providers Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, pre-op instructions, and required clearances Obtain and track prior authorizations for surgical procedures as needed Ensure all required documentation (consents, labs, imaging, H&P, clearances) is completed prior to surgery Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, surgical facilities, and insurance companies Verify insurance benefits and assist with surgical cost estimates when applicable Maintain organized and accurate surgical schedules and logs Follow up with patients pre- and post-operatively as directed Provide coverage for other MAs as needed (call-outs, PTO, etc.) Travel between Corona and Murrieta clinics (2-3 days per location depending on provider schedule) Work closely with providers and leadership to ensure smooth clinic operations What We're Looking For Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent communication and patient service skills Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented Willingness to learn orthopaedic workflows and procedures Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required Orthopaedic experience is preferred Prior clinical or healthcare experience is a plus Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday No weekends Location Corona, CA Murrieta, CA ( Must be able to travel between both locations ) Why Join Us? Pay:
