Job Title:
Medical Transcriptionist (Outpatient) ###
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist (Outpatient) to accurately transcribe, edit, and maintain medical documentation for outpatient services. The Medical Transcriptionist will convert physician dictation into clear and accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and support providers by maintaining timely and accurate patient records. ###
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Transcription or Medical Terminology program preferred Previous medical transcription experience in an outpatient or healthcare setting preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and transcription software Excellent typing, grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance ###
Key Responsibilities:
Transcribe physician dictation, clinical notes, consultations, operative reports, and other medical documentation accurately and efficiently Review, edit, and proofread medical documents for completeness, accuracy, and proper formatting Ensure timely completion of transcription assignments to support patient care Maintain accurate electronic medical records in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards Communicate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify incomplete or unclear documentation Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and transcription software effectively Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other applicable privacy regulations Prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times and departmental goals Assist with document management and other administrative duties as assigned Perform other job-related duties as assigned ### Apply Now!
