This job opening is for a travel Medical Scribe position to support the physician at our Inglewood, East LA, and Whittier offices.About the position:
The Medical Scribe works closely with the providers to accurately document patient encounters and ensure medical records are complete, timely, and compliant. This role plays a critical part in improving provider efficiency and supporting high-quality patient care.Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble medical record documentation for physicians. Accompany providers during patient visits to accurately document patient history, review of systems, physical examinations, assessments, treatment plans, and procedures within the electronic medical record (EMR). Update patient histories, physical examination findings, and other pertinent health information. Submit documentation to physicians for review, authentication, and approval. Monitor medical charts to ensure timely completion, including: History and physical exams Review of systems Laboratory and diagnostic results ECGs Progress and procedure notes Diagnoses and treatment plans Discharge documentation and provider signatures Return incomplete charts to physicians for completion as needed. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records. Assist with diagnostic and procedure coding documentation. Perform clerical and administrative duties that improve provider productivity and clinic workflow. Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards, and all federal, state, and local regulations. Promote a safe, secure, and professional work environment.Requirements :
Bilingual in English and Spanish High school diploma or equivalent At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. Typing speed of 40+ WPM Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, typing, writing, speaking, and carrying up to 25 pounds.Preferred:
Interest or intention forRN/PA/NP/MD
