Job Description

Job Overview Full Circle Orthopedics is hiring an Orthopedic Medical Scribe to work directly with our orthopedic provider and help keep clinical documentation accurate, organized, and current throughout the day. This is a set three day schedule, Monday through Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, for a total of 24 hours per week. This role is a strong fit for someone who already has hands on eClinicalWorks experience, types quickly and accurately, understands medical terminology, and enjoys being an important part of a busy clinical team. You will work closely with the physician, helping keep documentation moving so the provider can stay focused on patients and the clinic can run efficiently. Orthopedic experience is a plus, and bilingual Spanish is preferred. Pay is based on experience and bilingual ability.
ABOUT US
Full Circle Orthopedics is an orthopedic surgery practice serving Clearwater and Palm Harbor. We are a small, patient centered practice where each team member has a visible impact on the patient experience and the flow of the clinic. Dr. Robert Donnelly is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with Mayo Clinic residency training. The practice treats a wide range of orthopedic problems, including spine, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and hand conditions, along with acute injuries, fractures, and postoperative care.
WHY THIS ROLE IS WORTH CONSIDERING A
predictable three day workweek, Monday through Wednesday. Direct work with one experienced orthopedic physician. A clinical role where your accuracy and efficiency make a noticeable difference every day. The opportunity to use your eClinicalWorks and documentation skills in a hands on orthopedic setting. A small practice environment where your contribution does not get lost in a large organization.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
You already have hands on experience using eClinicalWorks in a medical practice or clinical setting. You type quickly and accurately and can keep up with a busy clinic without sacrificing attention to detail. You understand medical terminology and can follow clinical conversations well enough to document them correctly. You take pride in clean, organized charts and completing work promptly. You communicate calmly and professionally with the physician and staff throughout the clinic day. Orthopedic experience and Spanish are pluses, but are not required.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Accurately document patient visits, including medical history, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Chart directly in eClinicalWorks during clinic and help keep documentation moving toward timely completion. Use eClinicalWorks efficiently, including templates and macros when appropriate. Organize and manage medical documentation for accuracy and efficiency. Communicate with the physician and team to keep clinic flow moving smoothly. Identify documentation that still needs completion and follow through so charts do not unnecessarily pile up. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A
successful scribe helps make the entire clinic day easier. Notes remain accurate and current, charts move toward completion throughout the day, and the physician can spend more attention on patient care instead of falling behind on documentation. You should leave the day knowing that your work helped patients move through the clinic efficiently and helped the physician stay organized and focused.
SCHEDULE
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 8:00am to 5:00pm 24 hours per week Work locations: Clearwater and Palm Harbor
PAY AND BENEFITS
Pay is based on experience and bilingual ability. Benefits are not offered at this time.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT
Practice specific onboarding will be provided so you can learn the physician's workflow, documentation preferences, and clinic processes. Because there is an immediate need for someone who can become productive quickly, applicants should already be comfortable navigating and charting in eClinicalWorks rather than needing to learn the system from the beginning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Hands on eClinicalWorks experience in a medical practice or clinical setting is required. Strong computer skills and strong typing speed and accuracy are required. Working knowledge of medical terminology is required. One year of medical scribe experience is preferred. Candidates with strong healthcare documentation experience and hands on eClinicalWorks experience will also be considered. Orthopedic experience or familiarity with orthopedic terminology is a plus. Spanish is preferred, but not required. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain accuracy in a busy clinical environment. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and respect for patient confidentiality.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply through Indeed with your resume. In your application, please include: Your approximate typing speed in words per minute. How long you have used eClinicalWorks and what you personally did in the system. Your medical scribe or clinical documentation experience. Any orthopedic experience you have. Whether you are bilingual in Spanish. We are looking for someone who can become a reliable part of the clinic and take pride in keeping documentation accurate, current, and moving throughout the day. Application Question(s): About how many minutes will it take for you to drive from home to 1528 Lakeview Rd, Clearwater, FL 33756 Briefly describe what you personally did in eClinicalWorks, including charting, templates or macros, orders, or other clinical functions.
