This position is a full-time, in-office role.
Requirements include:
  • (1) to two (2) years of medical transcription experience
  • Orthopaedic experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing, English grammar skills required
  • Candidate must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize jobs based on patient care needs of the practice
  • Ideal candidate is a meticulous, fast paced go getter
  • Must be extremely focused. Candidate must follow protocols and processes regarding transcription, as well we management of workload including office visits, MRIs, and all other dictated materials generated from our multi provider office
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems, with experience in window based operating systems and Microsoft Office, especially MS Word, Excel is required
Typing Aptitude:
70+ WPM
  • Knowledge of EMR Software
  • Learn the functionality of EMR Software to produce medical/ legal reports to obtain missing chart content as needed for completion of medical reports
  • Candidate must be comfortable transcribing patient history, exam notes, operative reports, referral letters, discharge summaries, and all other documents as needed by providers
  • Candidate will Review and edit drafts as needed prepared by speech recognition software, to ensure transcription is accurate/complete
  • Ideal candidate must be able to identify inconsistencies and inaccuracies in medical dictation and be familiar with medical/ surgical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments.
