Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will convert voice-recorded medical reports into accurate, comprehensive written documents that support patient care, billing, and legal documentation. Your expertise will ensure that medical records are precise, confidential, and compliant with all health information management standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare delivery through meticulous transcription and record management. Responsibilities Transcribe dictated medical reports, including clinical notes, operative reports, discharge summaries, and consultation notes with precision and attention to detail. Review and edit transcribed documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to medical terminology standards. Ensure all transcriptions comply with healthcare privacy protection policies and health information regulatory requirements. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) platforms efficiently for seamless documentation workflows. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify unclear or ambiguous dictations promptly to maintain record integrity. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Support records management processes by organizing, storing, and retrieving medical documents securely and efficiently. Skills Proficiency in using EHR systems and EMR/EHR platforms for accurate documentation management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding practices, and health regulation policies. Experience with health information management and healthcare privacy protection standards. Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting purposes. Background in medical office operations or healthcare settings enhances transcription accuracy. Familiarity with revenue cycle management processes related to billing and coding is a plus. Exceptional customer service skills to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
