Responsibilities Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time using Athena Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring precision in medical documentation. Assist healthcare providers by preparing exam rooms, collecting patient histories, and documenting vital signs and other relevant clinical information. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all privacy policies. Manage electronic health records efficiently, including updating, organizing, and retrieving patient data while maintaining accuracy and security. Support physicians during patient examinations by providing necessary supplies, documenting procedures, and facilitating smooth clinical operations. Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical confidentiality policies to accurately interpret and record complex medical information. Engage with patients professionally during check-ins and follow-ups, fostering a welcoming environment while gathering essential health information. Skills Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems for efficient management of electronic health records. Excellent transcription skills with high accuracy in capturing detailed medical conversations and notes. Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures essential for precise documentation. Strong typing skills combined with exceptional writing abilities to produce clear, concise medical records. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
