Job Description

Job Summary I need help 2-3 days per week with the documentation that comes with seeing patients in an outpatient psychiatric doctor's office. I prescribe medications for mental health disorders and I could help more people if I have an assistant that helps with clerical tasks. I work in an office that prioritizes helping people rather than extracting every dollar out of them or their insurance company. I am looking for a like-minded partner that will work with me to help make a difference in those that need help. Pretty much everything else that follows is AI nonsense, but if you're ready to do some work to actually help people, please apply. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe and Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this dynamic role, you will support physicians by accurately transcribing medical documentation, managing electronic health records (EHR), and assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. Your energetic approach will help streamline patient flow, ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies, and enhance the overall patient experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical documentation, physiology, and healthcare operations while contributing to high-quality patient care. Duties Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient encounters, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), updating patient information swiftly and securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist healthcare providers with medical records management, including filing, retrieving, and organizing patient files Support physicians by preparing exam rooms, handling medical supplies, and ensuring a clean, organized clinical environment Facilitate patient interaction by answering questions, providing directions within the facility, and ensuring a smooth check-in process Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance at all times Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately document procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency in transcription, typing, and medical documentation with excellent writing skills Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR management tools is essential Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information Experience working in emergency room settings or fast-paced clinics is advantageous Understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy healthcare environment Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care through precise documentation, efficient administrative support, and compassionate service. Your energy and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the healthcare journey of every patient you assist.
