We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician to perform medical disability examinations for Veterans at our Sarasota location. This position is focused exclusively on conducting assessments and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). There is no prescribing, treatment, or ongoing patient management required. Responsibilities Perform thorough medical history reviews and physical examinations Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires accurately and objectively Review relevant medical records before and during examinations Document examination findings clearly and professionally Submit initial DBQs within 48 hours of the examination Complete requested corrections or clarifications within 24 hours Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all applicable compliance requirements Arrive on time and remain dependable for all scheduled examination dates Communicate promptly with scheduling and quality-assurance staff Qualifications Current and unrestricted Florida license as an NP, PA, MD, or DO National board certification, when applicable Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills Comfortable reviewing detailed medical records Excellent time-management and organizational skills Reliable, professional, and responsive Ability to complete documentation within required deadlines Previous VA disability examination or DBQ experience is preferred but not required Position Highlights Flexible part-time/PRN scheduling No prescribing medications No treatment plans or ongoing follow-up care No call, nights, or hospital responsibilities Administrative and scheduling support provided Opportunity to serve Veterans in the Sarasota community To Apply Please submit your résumé, current Florida license information, availability, and any previous VA disability examination or DBQ experience.
