Job Description

Overview:
Join Urogynecology and make a meaningful difference every day while collaborating with professionals who value energy, problem-solving, and exceptional patient care. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to room patients, prepare charts, serve as a scribe, assist with in-office procedures, and help maintain a clean, efficient clinical environment. The Medical Assistant Scribe provides patient care in a physician's office setting under the direct responsibility of a licensed physician and to assist the physician with documentation for patient's medical chart. Clinical skills performed are within the scope of a Medical Assistant as defined by Florida Statutes 458.3485 and CFH Clinical Policy and Procedure. The MA may also perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions. May be required to float to other practices, as needed, for staffing. •Team member may be required to float between locations; Mileage reimbursement provided•
Qualifications:
Education High School Diploma and one of the following: Medical Assistant certification, OR Two (2) years of direct patient care experience, OR Associate's degree (preferred in a healthcare-related field), OR Candidates who are not currently certified but demonstrate strong patient care experience and interest in the role may be considered. Selected candidates must be willing to obtain Medical Assistant certification within one (1) year of employment, and training/support may be provided. Licensure/Certification/Registration Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred. Basic Life Support (CPR) required or must be obtained within the first month of employment and maintained throughout employment. Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required Candidate should display initiative, demonstrate the ability to multitask, and be able to assume additional responsibilities as needed. Proven ability to problem solve and work collaboratively as part of a team is essential. Additional Consideration Candidates who are not currently certified but demonstrate strong patient care experience and interest in the role may be considered. Selected candidates must be willing to obtain Medical Assistant certification within one (1) year of employment, and training/support may be provided.
