Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Job description: Position Summary The Medical Assistant performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Scribing in room with physician. Rooming patients and doing a review of systems on each patient. Pre-charting patient information including HPI. Typing accurate information in patient chart and visit notes. Becoming familiar with Dermatology medical dermatology. Cleaning instruments in an autoclave. Removing sutures for patients after surgical procedures. Assisting patients with Prior Authorization and insurance verification. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, using Apple Ipads and other technology. Must be familiar with EHR systems to review and retrieve patient information. Must be able to type at least 45-50 wpm with little errors. Must be able to perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma required - or the equivalent (for example, GED) Some college courses preferred. Preferred experience in Dermatology or related field. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
