IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR LOCAL MEDICAL CLINIC IN BATON ROUGE!
!! Our client is seeking a dependable and experienced medical office professional with the ability to remain organized while multi-tasking. This role will focus on transcriptionist work, but you will also be held responsible for the backup of various positions in the office. This is a long-term, full-time position paying in the range of $17-$19 per hour.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor and update cases in laboratory information systems
- Answer phone calls and requests from physicians regarding case/report status
- Enter case comments and maintain accurate case documentation within LIS
- Assist transcription staff with transferring gross description into LIS
- Print, fax, and scan patient documents
- Provide backup administrative support to other areas of the clinic
Position Requirements:
- Previous medical office, laboratory, or healthcare administrative experience is
REQUIRED
- Previous Medical Scribe experience is
GREATLY PREFERRED
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with health information systems such as LIS, EMR, or EHR
