Scribe - Total Family Health Care - PRN

PRN Position summary: Transcribes patient encounters in real‐time, including symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructions for follow up care. May perform other clerical duties. High school and 1 year experience preferred.

Role qualifications:

Education High School diploma or its equivalent. Experience 1 year Preferred Licenses/Certificate BLS preferred but not required Must attend in-services and staff meetings.

Position responsibilities:

Greet all patients and visitors courteously and kindly. Insure that all patient information is updated in the computer prior to each visit. Maintain all medical records insuring patient confidentiality. Proper retrieval of medical records to / from other providers. Maintain a good public image of the clinic when working with physician and patients. Other various general office duties as assigned by the RHC Physician.

Essential skills and experience:

Must have the ability to type and use appropriate office equipment. Must be able to use a personal computer for scheduling and retrieving of patient information. Must be able to read and interpret components of medical charts. Must be able to speak effectively to individuals. Employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities require close vision.
