Scribe Suffolk Primary Health Location:
Hempstead, NY Pay:
$19-$23 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Full-time Tuesday:
8:00 AM-8:00
PM Wednesday:
9:00 AM-5:00
PM Thursday:
8:00 AM-7:00
PM Friday:
9:00 AM-3:00 PM Suffolk Primary Health is hiring a Bilingual Pediatric Medical Assistant / Scribe for our Hempstead team. This combined role supports a pediatric provider throughout each patient visit, from rooming and clinical assistance to real-time documentation and follow-up. Bilingual skills and previous eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience are required. Responsibilities Room pediatric patients and document vital signs, chief complaints, and medical history. Reconcile medications and verify allergies and pharmacy information. Review immunization records and identify vaccines that may be due. Assist with age-appropriate screenings and pediatric quality measures. Prepare patients and exam rooms for examinations, procedures, testing, and vaccinations. Assist the provider during examinations and procedures. Scribe in eCW during visits, documenting history, examination findings, treatment plans, education, and follow-up instructions. Coordinate testing, imaging, referrals, specialist appointments, and follow-up care. Make sure patients leave with the appropriate orders, referrals, appointments, and instructions. Track outstanding follow-up items and communicate issues to the provider. Maintain complete, timely documentation and protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Requirements Bilingual skills. Previous hands-on eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience. Medical Assistant training. Current BLS/CPR certification. Strong computer, communication, and documentation skills. Comfortable working closely with children and their families. Dependability and availability for the full schedule listed above. Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred. Experience in pediatrics, family medicine, or primary care is strongly preferred, as is medical scribing and EMR documentation experience. Apply with your resume to join Suffolk Primary Health.
