Job Responsibilities As a Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant / Medical Technician , responsibilities may include: Prepare and organize patient charts, medical records, and clinical documentation before patient visits. Round with physicians and medical providers in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, residential communities, and other healthcare settings. Observe patient-provider interactions and assist with clinical workflow and patient care . Accurately document medical histories, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans under provider supervision. Assist providers with medical procedures and clinical tasks as permitted by training, qualifications, and applicable regulations. Enter and update information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. Assist with obtaining and organizing patient information, laboratory results, medications, and other clinical documentation. Communicate professionally with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, patients, families, and healthcare staff. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements . Support providers with administrative and clinical tasks as needed. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced medical environment. Current or previous enrollment in Pre-Med, Medical School, Nursing, Physician Assistant (PA), Biology, Health Sciences, or another healthcare-related program is preferred but not required.
