Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant and Scribe to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide clinical support by assisting healthcare providers during patient visits, accurately documenting medical encounters, and managing electronic health records (EHR). Your expertise in medical terminology, physiology, and clinical confidentiality will ensure seamless patient interactions and precise medical documentation. Duties Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Transcribe clinical notes, patient histories, and physician dictations accurately into electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) Manage and update patient medical records with precision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies Support patient interaction by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing clear instructions for follow-up care Maintain proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately document complex clinical information Ensure achieving HIPAA compliance by safeguarding protected health information (PHI) at all times Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems efficiently for data entry, retrieval, and documentation of medical encounters Perform administrative tasks such as verifying insurance details, collecting co-pays, and managing appointment schedules Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent credential from an accredited program Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or Scribe in a clinical setting, preferably with emergency room exposure or fast-paced environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures Experience with EMR/EHR systems and proficient typing skills for accurate documentation Excellent transcription skills with attention to detail for medical records and documentation accuracy Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance standards and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information Exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards in documentation and patient care Join our team to make a meaningful impact on patient health outcomes!
