Depending on experience Hybrid Role About the Position We are a growing Internal Medicine/Primary Care practice in Edison, NJ, seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Scribe to work closely with the physician and clinical team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment, has excellent attention to detail, and can accurately document patient encounters in eClinicalWorks (eCW). Responsibilities Accurately document patient encounters in the EHR in real time Prepare and update patient charts before and during visits Document HPI, ROS, physical examination findings, assessment, and plan as directed by the physician Enter medications, allergies, laboratory results, imaging results, and other relevant clinical information Assist with accurate ICD-10 and CPT documentation Prepare charts for upcoming appointments Review and organize laboratory and diagnostic information for physician review Assist with prescription refill and referral documentation as directed Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Communicate effectively with the physician and clinical staff Schedule patient follow-up appointments Work on patient documentation (need basis) Pre-auth for weight loss and other type Maintain accurate and timely documentation while keeping pace with a busy primary-care schedule

Qualifications Required:
Previous medical scribe or clinical documentation experience preferred Strong medical terminology knowledge Excellent English communication and writing skills Strong typing and computer skills Ability to accurately document information while listening to the physician Excellent attention to detail Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment Professional, dependable, and organized Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality
Preferred:
