• Transcribe outpatient and hospital gross descriptions
• Knowledge and understanding of all procedures pertinent to typing all gross descriptions
• Meet/maintain daily productivity and idle time standards
• Maintain working knowledge and understanding of HIPAA standards and guidelines
• Requires rotation into the office three days a week approximately every eight to nine weeks and must reside in the state of California Education/Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to type a minimum of 60 wpm, while simultaneously identifying inaccuracies and/or inconsistencies
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology, English grammar and punctuation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows Explorer and Outlook Other Skills and Abilities
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to prioritize diverse activities and manage time constraints effectively and efficiently
• Ability to remain focused and work independently
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet regular productivity guidelines
• Strong attention to detail Starting Pay $24.
