Responsibilities Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions in real-time during consultations and surgical procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient data efficiently. Document comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions related to total joint replacement surgeries. Assist in capturing precise descriptions of procedures, including surgical steps, implant details, and intraoperative observations. Maintain organized and secure medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies. Support physicians by preparing documentation for billing, coding, and insurance purposes. Demonstrate physiology and anatomy knowledge to accurately record complex medical terminology and procedural details. Requirements Proven experience in transcription within a healthcare setting or medical office environment. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for clinical documentation. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures related to orthopedics. Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed; ability to transcribe detailed notes efficiently. Prior experience working in a fast-paced medical environment such as an emergency room or outpatient clinic is preferred. Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards for patient privacy.
