In this role, you will assist healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically eClinicalWorks. Your expertise in medical transcription, medical documentation, and clinical confidentiality will ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow within a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize eClinicalWorks EHR system to input, update, and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and securely. Assist healthcare providers by capturing vital signs, documenting patient histories, and recording physical examination findings with precision. Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance standards while handling sensitive patient information. Support physicians and medical staff by organizing and managing medical records, ensuring all documentation aligns with regulatory requirements. Demonstrate strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately interpret provider notes and translate them into comprehensive electronic records. Engage in continuous learning about EMR systems, medical terminology, and emergency room procedures to enhance documentation quality and workflow efficiency. Experience Proven experience in medical transcription or scribing within a clinical setting, preferably with eClinicalWorks or similar EMR/EHR systems. Strong understanding of medical office procedures, including managing medical records and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately document complex patient encounters. Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment such as an emergency room or outpatient clinic is highly desirable. Excellent typing skills with high accuracy; ability to transcribe detailed notes swiftly during live patient interactions. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and best practices for protecting patient privacy. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients while maintaining professionalism.
