Duties Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient visits, including history, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Assist healthcare providers by capturing real-time documentation to improve workflow efficiency and reduce administrative burden Ensure all medical documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and maintains patient confidentiality at all times Manage and update patient records accurately within EMR/EHR systems, including medical history, medication lists, lab results, and diagnostic imaging reports Support clinicians in achieving accurate medical transcription by understanding medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy Verify the completeness and accuracy of medical records before finalizing documentation for billing and legal purposes Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive patient information Skills Strong transcription skills with the ability to quickly and accurately convert spoken information into written records Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical procedures Excellent typing speed and writing skills to keep pace with live patient encounters Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and confidentiality protocols in healthcare settings Prior experience in a medical office or emergency room environment is highly desirable Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers while maintaining attention to detail under pressure This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in healthcare documentation.
