Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe, where your energetic support will be vital in enhancing patient care and streamlining clinical documentation. In this role, you will work closely with physicians and medical staff to accurately transcribe and document patient encounters in real-time. Your keen attention to detail and enthusiasm for medical processes will ensure that patient records are precise, comprehensive, and compliant with healthcare standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your medical knowledge while contributing to efficient clinical operations. Responsibilities Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions during medical examinations, procedures, and consultations with accuracy and speed. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient data efficiently. Document vital signs, medical histories, physical exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions clearly and thoroughly. Assist healthcare providers by preparing preliminary documentation to facilitate smooth patient flow and reduce administrative burdens. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Support the organization of medical records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and easily accessible for future reference. Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation workflows and adopt best practices for clinical recordkeeping. Requirements Proven experience in transcription within a medical setting or strong familiarity with medical documentation processes. Prior experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare facility preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems and EHR platforms to ensure seamless data entry and retrieval. Solid understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and general healthcare practices. Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed to keep pace with fast-moving clinical environments. Knowledge of medical records management protocols and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA. Strong attention to detail combined with active listening skills to accurately capture complex medical information.
