Position Summary:
Our Dermatology department has an opening for a full-time Medical Assistant/Scribe. This position will be for both our Lehi and Provo locations. If you enjoy making a significant contribution to patient care and are quick and thorough, you will enjoy this position.Essential Job Functions:
- Escorts patients to examination rooms, interviews patient and ensures all pertinent information is recorded and available to the provider.
- Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with needed supplies and equipment.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures.
- Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Creates and maintains tasks and documents all patient interactions.
- Call/Fax/eScribe prescriptions per protocol.
- Assist provider with in-office procedures.
Qualifications:
- Past experience as an MA or MA certification is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience with electronic medical records and medical terminology is very beneficial.
- Must have outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
- Must also be a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly and professional.
- Be able to multi-task and work efficiently.
- CPR certification required upon hire
