You will work closely with healthcare providers to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and patient satisfaction across various specialties, including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Duties Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing exam rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Accurately document patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR) systems using real-time scribing techniques. Collect comprehensive patient histories and assist with medical intake processes to ensure complete documentation of symptoms and concerns Record medications and allergies Screen patients for allergies, current medications, and medical history Prepare for biopsies, procedures and injections Provide wound care education to patients Field phone calls from patients Ensure minor procedure operating rooms and exam rooms are clean Stocking of supplies Replace sharps containers as needed Removal of biohazardous material from patient rooms Check expiration dates of medications and sutures monthly Notify supply staff to order items in short supply Other duties as assigned Keep patients updated with results Prepare and assure all prescriptions are accurate and completed by the end of the day. Complete prior authorizations for patients Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Support medical office management by organizing medical records, updating patient information, and managing appointment scheduling. Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards, ICD coding practices for diagnoses, and proper documentation of medical records. Assist with outpatient procedures such as biopsies, stand-by, ED&C Experience Prior experience working in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation and patient care. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management is required; familiarity with EMR/EHR workflows is a plus. Preferably Modernizing Medicine (EMA) Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is necessary to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Experience performing phlebotomy or medication administration enhances your ability to support clinical teams effectively. Strong organizational skills Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
