A Medication Aide or Technician provides medication to patients in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. This role provides one pathway into licensed nursing training. May help measure and record vital signs, and assist in activities of daily living (ADLS).

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medication Aide Certified MAC to join our team. As a Medication Aide Certified MAC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Administering medications to patients as prescribed by physicians or other healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and timely delivery Monitoring patients' conditions and reporting any changes to healthcare staff, providing essential updates and insights Assisting with vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature checks, to help maintain patient health Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, ensuring transparency and accountability Collaborating with healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, driving continuous improvement and excellence
Requirements:
Current Medication Aide Certification, demonstrating expertise and commitment to patient care Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility, showcasing adaptability and resilience Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing demands and deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
