Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medication Tech to join our healthcare team. As a Medication Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to patients and supporting medical professionals in various healthcare settings. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate medical documentation, and efficient medication administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Administers prescribed medication to patients and maintains related medical records under the supervision of the Nurse
  • Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or administers medication, using a specified procedure
  • Take vital signs or observe patients to detect responses to specified types of medications and prepare reports or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions
  • Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered
  • Able to provide direct care, bathing, dressing, and feeding, residents and assisting in examinations and treatments
  • May receive supplies of ordered Medications
  • May record and re-stock medications inventory Responsible for notifying the PCP and Psychiatrist of any changes to resident's medical and mental condition Responsible for notifying the family and conservator of resident hospitalization Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
