AED Certification Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking an attentive and compassionate Med Tech to join our team with Kaego's Richman Gardens in providing excellent care to our community. The Med Tech will follow a daily care schedule with residents, modify care plans as prescribed by medical professionals and report on any new conditions or needs that may arise to the administrator. To succeed as a Med Tech with us you should be patient, empathetic, and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to making your community feel safe and comfortable. Coordinating with pharmacies for refills, receiving and logging new medication deliveries, and ensuring medications do not run out. Assisting with "Activities of Daily Living" ((ADLs) bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility) when not on a "med pass". Accurately recording every dose in the Medication Administration Record. Assisting residents with the self-administration of oral, topical, and inhaled medications according to physician orders. Observing residents for potential side effects or adverse reactions and immediately reporting changes in condition. Assists community Administrator as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (required)

Experience:

1+ years of experience in assisted living or memory care is preferred. 1+ years of Med Tech experience is preferred.

Clearances:

Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI criminal background check (Fingerprinting) and a TB test/Health Screening. (Required)

Certifications:

AED, First Aid and CPR certification (Required or willingness to obtain).

Soft Skills:

High attention to detail, compassion for the elderly, and the ability to stay calm in emergency situations. Willing to work flexible hours
