Med Tech - FT PM San Dimas Retirement Center - 2.2 San Dimas, CA Job Details Full-time $19 - $20 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Assisted living facility experience Full Job Description We are an Assisted Living Facility seeking a Med Tech to join our team! The Med Tech provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to residents and assists in providing a clean, safe, dignified, happy and healthy environment for residents by performing the following duties.
Primary Med Tech Responsibilities:
Complies with the facility's attendance policy requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance Assists with the self-administration of medication for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations Observes documents and reports change of conditions to LVN (if applicable), Administrator, Physician, and responsible parties, including symptoms and conditions of residents that could also be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects. Assessments are to be noted in resident file if there are any changes in condition Creates resident files upon admission, verifying accuracy with physician report and medications Stores medications in a safe and accurate manner in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations Monitors medication to ensure adequate accountability measures are taken when medication are ordered, received into the facility, self-administered, and at change of shift required by policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations Routinely inspects, clean and monitors equipment and supplies to ensure resident safety. Reports any equipment or supply issues to the LVN (if applicable), Administrator, or direct supervisor for correction or repair. Maintains the overall med room operations for problems or discrepancies. Monitor supply levels, and creates and places orders to replenish department Accompanies physicians who are visiting residents and accurately records data from that visit in a timely, accurate and factual manner Communicates with doctors about prescriptions. Any medications orders given in writing are to be carried out and sent to pharmacy immediately. All changes in medication are also to be documented in M.A.R and "Centrally Stored Medication" binder upon receipt of medication. This includes medication handed in by family or SNF either by admission or routine family ordering Meet and greet clients, family members and visitors. Handles all family and/or resident complaints regarding medication concerns Completes incident reports within 24 hours of incident and assures reports are provided to LVN (if applicable) and administrator. Immediately notifies Administrator, physicians, and responsible parties Reads 24-hour report book. Checks on any problems reported on previous shifts. If any resident is sent to the office, calls and checks on their progress Maintains records neatly and orderly in designated filing areas Other duties may be assigned
Med Tech Requirements:
Background check and Live Scan Experience in an Assisted Living Facility
PAY SCALE
Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
