Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all applicable state healthcare regulations and facility protocols Accurately document medication administration using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers Assist with medication storage, inventory management, and proper disposal in accordance with safety guidelines Provide personal care assistance including vital signs measurement, tube feeding, catheter care, and mobility support as needed Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including memory care and dementia-specific needs, ensuring respectful and compassionate care Maintain detailed medical records and documentation related to medication administration, patient care activities, and incident reports Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Certification as a QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) is required; additional certifications such as CPR/First Aid are a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks in compliance with safety standards Strong communication skills for effective caregiver interaction and resident engagement Join us to be part of a caring team committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through expert medication management and compassionate support.
