Responsibilities Safely administer prescribed medications following all state healthcare regulations and medical documentation protocols Assist residents with daily personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care programs Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure compliance with all privacy standards Provide compassionate support during tube feeding, catheter care, and other medical procedures under supervision or as trained Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and report any concerns or changes in condition Assist with light housekeeping duties related to resident comfort and safety in accordance with facility policies Demonstrate proficiency in basic life support (BLS), CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures to ensure resident safety at all times Skills Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manual handling techniques when assisting residents with mobility or transfers Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care Strong caregiver communication skills to foster trust and understanding with residents and team members Understanding of state Board of Nursing requirements and adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations Ability to maintain resident personal care assistance while respecting individual dignity and preferences Knowledge of hospice care principles for supporting end-of-life residents compassionately Join us in creating a caring environment where every resident feels valued and supported.
