PRN (As Needed) | Primarily Weekend Day & Evening Coverage Make a Difference in Recovery Bluff Recovery is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medication Administration Technician (PRN) to join our team in Augusta, GA. This position plays an important role in supporting safe and accurate medication administration while helping maintain a structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment for clients receiving substance use and behavioral health treatment. Key Responsibilities Complete medication-related paperwork for new admissions. Verify client medications during the intake and admission process. Assist the medical department with documentation and recordkeeping. Support and oversee medication administration in accordance with established policies and procedures. Serve as a practicum observer for newly trained staff learning medication administration procedures. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and onsite staff to ensure client needs are addressed. Maintain clear and accurate communication through verbal reports and written documentation. Attend required meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities. Provide appropriate support to clients regarding treatment needs and concerns. Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and therapeutic environment. Assist with crisis intervention when necessary. Monitor client behavioral and emotional needs and communicate observations to the treatment team. Transport clients as needed. Complete admission paperwork and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 2-5 years of related healthcare or medical experience preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures preferred. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) strongly preferred. Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health settings is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to problem-solve and make sound, ethical decisions. Professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during crisis situations. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
