WHAT A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREGIVER LOOKS LIKE

Using therapies and techniques to prevent and improve resident behaviors Assisting residents in taking their medications Assisting residents with regular toileting including incontinence care if needed Keeping records, charting, medications, and recording resident activities Keeping work and resident areas safe, orderly and clear of obstacles Regular, reliable, attendance in performance of essential job functions Engaging residents in daily activities

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years or older Must pass a criminal background check Certifications in First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and Medication Assistance Certification Must frequently lift or move objects up to 35lbs unassisted Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling required Required to continuously complete ongoing education following state specific requirements
