•We are seeking weekend Coverage. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Memory Care Medication Technician to join our vibrant senior living community. In this vital role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing personalized care to residents with memory impairments, including Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe, effective medication management while supporting their overall well-being. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs, physical responses, and overall health status during medication administration and care activities Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and legal standards Assist residents with personal care tasks such as grooming, mobility, and hygiene while respecting their dignity and privacy Observe and report any changes in residents' condition or behavior related to memory care or medication effects to nursing staff or supervisors Follow protocols for tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical procedures as trained Maintain resident confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings—preferably with geriatric or memory care populations Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Valid certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential recognized by the State Board of Nursing Current CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are highly desirable Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for resident mobility assistance Strong communication skills for effective caregiver communication and resident engagement Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict patient confidentiality Ability to work with individuals with disabilities and experience caring for residents with complex needs such as hospice or acute care requirements Physiology and anatomy knowledge relevant to senior care and dementia management Join our team to provide compassionate, expert care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
