Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with medical protocols, including oral, topical, injectable, and tube feeding medications. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to track patient health status. Assist residents or patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and hygiene to promote independence and dignity. Assist residents with laundry services. Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Perform catheter care, tube feeding management, and other specialized medical procedures under supervision or according to training. Observe for changes in condition or behavior that may require escalation to nursing staff or medical professionals. Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and medication administration procedures is essential. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner enhances your ability to document accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and proper handling of medical records and patient information. Demonstrated caregiving skills in senior care settings or community-based services is highly valued. Proven ability to work effectively with people who have disabilities or complex health conditions like Alzheimer's disease or dementia is a plus.
