Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nurse Aide or Certified Medication Aide, where your expertise will directly impact the quality of life for residents in an assisted living community. In this role, you will assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support clinical staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and healing environment. CNA Duties Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring timely communication of changes to nursing staff. Document patient information thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems and adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring medical records are complete and accurate. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an assisted living environment to deliver comprehensive patient service. Experience MUST have valid Kansas Certified Nurse Aide License. CMA Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility support, tube feeding, catheter care, and other personal care tasks. Observe and report changes in physical or mental health status to a licensed nurse. Maintain accurate medical records, document medication administration, and ensure compliance with all healthcare protocols. Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans. Support residents' emotional well-being through compassionate caregiving and engaging communication. Experience MUST have an active Kansas Certified Medication Aide license.
