Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration and patient care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents across various care settings. Your expertise will support individuals in assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse healthcare needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized dementia or hospice care. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. What you'll do Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and established protocols Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in condition Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Maintain detailed medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Support patients with specialized needs including , catheter care, and medication management Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy Collaborate with nursing staff to update medical records and communicate patient status effectively Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Certified Medication Technician (CMT) from an accredited program Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing practices Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and safety procedures Ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care Join us in delivering exceptional care that enhances the quality of life for our residents. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
