Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Certified Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) to join our close-knit care team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely administering medications and treatments to our residents, maintaining accurate clinical records, and assisting with daily care needs. You will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure our residents maintain their highest level of independence and quality of life.
Key Responsabilities:
Administer oral and topical medications according to physician orders and state guidelines. Maintain, restock, and secure medication cart following facility safety protocols. Provide accurate and timely documentation on the Medication Administration Record (MAR). Observe residents for any physical, emotional, or behavioral changes and promptly communicate findings to the supervisor. Coordinate with the pharmacy to order medication refills and check in new deliveries. Foster a collaborative, positive environment by working closely with resident assistants and family members.
Qualifications:
Must possess an active, state-approved certification in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing Medication Aide Registry. Active status on the Kentucky State Nurse Aide Registry (SRNA/CNA) is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Strong organization skills and the ability to accurately follow medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, senior-focused mindset
Schedule:
8-hour shift/12-hour shift Day shift/Evening shift/Night shift Weekend requirements/Alternating weekends/Weekends as needed Must be able to reliably commute or plan on relocation before starting work
