Adult Daycare Aide Galilee Adult Daycare - 5.0 Baltimore, MD Job Details Part-time $15 - $17 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Patient monitoring Assisting with ADLs High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification CNA Full Job Description Position Summary The Adult Day Care Aide / Medication Technician provides direct supervision, limited personal care assistance, and safe medication administration to participants enrolled in the Adult Medical Day Care (AMDC) program. This role ensures participant safety, supports independence, and implements care services in accordance with COMAR 10.09.07 and Maryland medication administration regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide supervision to ensure participant safety throughout the day Assist participants to and from the bathroom only Provide standby assistance for mobility and fall prevention Maintain participant dignity, privacy, and independence at all times Medication Administration (if needed) Administer medications to participants in accordance with: Physician orders Individualized care plans Maryland Medication Technician guidelines
Monitor & Report:
Side effects, Adverse reactions, Missed or refused medications Communicate medication concerns immediately to the RN Health Monitoring & Reporting Observe participants for changes in: Physical condition, Mental status, Behavior Report concerns promptly to nursing staff Assist with vital signs if delegated Program & Activity Support Encourage participation in: Therapeutic activities, Social engagement, Exercise programs Provide support to participants during group activities Meal & Nutrition Support Assist with meal and snack distribution Monitor participants during meals for safety (e.g., choking risks) Transportation Support Assist participants entering and exiting vehicles Ensure safe escorting when on trips Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate records including: Daily notes and observations & Incident reports Communicate effectively with: Supervisor or Program Director Maintain strict HIPAA compliance Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Licensure Requirements Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Heath Aide OR Certified Medication Technician (CMT) / Medication Technician Certification (Required if not a CNA) Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Ability to follow clinical instructions accurately Compassionate and respectful approach to participant care Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to recognize and report changes in condition Physical Requirements Ability to assist participants with walking and bathroom transfers Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations Compliance Requirements (COMAR-Aligned) Must pass: Criminal background check & Medical clearance (including TB screening) Required certifications/training: CPR & First Aid, Medication Technician certification (if applicable) Must adhere to

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
