Location:
Bel Air, MD, 21014 Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medication Technician (MedTech) to join our team in Bel Air, MD. The ideal candidate will provide medication assistance and support to residents in an assisted living environment, with a focus on dementia and memory care. Responsibilities Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols. Monitor and document residents' responses to medications and report any concerns to nursing staff. Provide compassionate care and support to residents, especially those with dementia and memory care needs. Assist with daily living activities as needed, promoting a safe and comfortable environment. Maintain accurate and timely medication records in compliance with facility policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures. Qualifications Current certification as a Medication Technician (MedTech) in the state of Maryland. Experience working in assisted living, dementia, or memory care settings preferred. Compassionate and patient approach to resident care. Strong attention to detail and punctuality. Flexible availability to meet the needs of the facility and residents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test. Must provide verification of MMR and Chicken Pox immunity/vaccination. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED. Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and above all, maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to the residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights. In exigent circumstances, the employee may be subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, temporary staffing shortages, etc.). Must adhere to Viva Senior Living's attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
