Responsibilities Safely administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track patient health status Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, and hygiene care for residents or patients Assist with specialized care needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, and hospice support Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure all records are complete and confidential Support residents with memory care activities and behavioral management strategies tailored to individual needs Perform manual handling tasks safely during resident transfers or heavy lifting while adhering to proper body mechanics Respond promptly to medical emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary; ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and update progress notes Uphold resident personal care standards by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) while respecting privacy and dignity Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and senior or geriatric patient needs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized support Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation is advantageous Valid certification in CPR and First Aid; additional certifications in hospice or Alzheimer's care are a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential for this role Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely while supporting mobility assistance requirements Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
