Duties Safely administer prescribed medications following all state healthcare regulations and medical documentation protocols Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and changes in residents' conditions using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Provide specialized care for residents with memory care needs, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease through compassionate engagement and tailored routines Support tube feeding procedures, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR when necessary to ensure resident safety Maintain accurate medical records and documentation while respecting patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely during resident transfers or mobility assistance Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive resident care plans Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including medication administration, personal hygiene, and mobility support in accordance with care plans Ensure a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times Experience Candidates should bring a strong background in assisted living or senior care environments, ideally with experience working in nursing homes or hospitals. Prior exposure to home & community care settings is highly valued. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation is essential. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require hospice care is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner and possess current certifications in first aid and CPR. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining resident confidentiality is mandatory. Previous roles involving dementia or memory care provide a solid foundation for success in this position.
