Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team on a per-visit basis . Typical visit times are 7:50 a.m., 5:50 p.m., and 9:50 p.m. You can do all 3 visits or pick one time slot to complete 7 days a week. In this vital role, you will provide safe, accurate, and timely medication administration and resident care within a variety of senior living and community settings. Your expertise will help ensure residents receive personalized attention, fostering a supportive environment that promotes health, dignity, and independence. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards. Monitor residents' vital signs, assess responses to medication, and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition promptly. Assist residents with personal care activities such as mobility support, hygiene, feeding (including tube feeding), and catheter care to promote comfort and well-being. Document medication administration, resident observations, and care activities precisely using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless service delivery. Follow all safety procedures related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and infection control practices during caregiving tasks. Stay informed about state healthcare regulations and maintain current certification in First Aid, CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), and other required training. Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Technician licensed by the State Board of Nursing or equivalent authority. Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, dementia care (including Alzheimer's), memory care techniques, and senior care best practices. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with resident care while maintaining patient safety standards.
