Responsibilities Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with physician orders and state regulations, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, maintaining their dignity and comfort. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; report any abnormalities promptly. Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, toileting, catheter care, and tube feeding management. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of medication administration, care plans, and resident progress while adhering to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality. Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare teams, and supervisors to ensure coordinated care delivery. Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and infection control procedures; participate in ongoing training such as CPR and first aid certifications. Requirements Prior experience working in home care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology Certification or licensing as required by the State Board of Nursing or relevant state healthcare regulations; current CPR and first aid certifications are essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Strong caregiving skills with excellent communication abilities; compassionate approach to working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information. Demonstrated understanding of medical documentation procedures and medical records management.
