In this vital role, you will administer medications, assist with personal care, and provide essential support to residents with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, hospice, or specialized assistance. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies Monitor and document residents' vital signs, medication reactions, and overall health status using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist residents with personal care activities including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and hygiene while maintaining their dignity and independence Provide specialized care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments through tailored activities and attentive caregiving Support tube feeding procedures, catheter care, and other medical tasks requiring knowledge of anatomy and physiology Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure confidentiality of all resident records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding resident needs, changes in condition, or medication adjustments Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) issued by the State Board of Nursing or equivalent authority Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and medical documentation practices Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality Experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for resident safety and mobility support CPR and First Aid certification required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are highly preferred Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate recordkeeping Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with residents' families and healthcare teams Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
