They are relied upon to independently make sound decisions and assist other Resident Care associates for the overall welfare of our residents. SICs continue to have the same job responsibilities as a Med Tech or Caregiver, as well as take on these additional duties: Supervise caregivers and medication technicians on assigned shift Fill in assignment sheets for next shift and make adjustments as needed for present shift. Ensure staff has signed out pager and has a working walkie. Ensure caregivers are responding to resident calls in a timely manner. Respond to hospital calls, family concerns, falls, incidents and any other issues escalated from Resident Care staff. Contact Nurse on duty if further assistance is needed. Follow up with orders; medications; labs; family calls. Restock aide stations and infection control bins. Check medication deliveries for accuracy before signing and distributing to proper carts. Provide shift report to promote continuity of care. Complete rounds, observe that assignments have been completed, caregivers clean aid station, file assignment sheets, check on residents with pertinent issues or concerns Check lab book and information board for any information that has changed. Check pending orders box and shred items that have been signed and filled. Document any "Hot Box" items (new orders, ABT, falls, move-ins). Complete any additional duties and tasks assigned by the Wellness Coordinator, Resident Care Manager, or Executive Director.

Physical Requirements:
Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skill Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedure Associates in this role are occasionally exposed to hot water, and cleaning chemical Ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push and pull. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 80 pounds of pressure may be placed on the associate through transfers using transfer belts or mechanical assists.
